This method for an insect-resist treatment of carpets, textiles and insulation products comprises the steps of pretreating synthetic or regenerated natural fibres with an effective insecticide and blending a proportion of the synthetic or regenerated natural fibres with wool fibres. The insecticide can be RH-5992, Lufenuron, Bifenthrin, MGK-264 or perfluoroalkyl-sulphonate.
