The invention relates to a heat deformable flat structure made of foam (1) and to a formed part (5) made therefrom, which are widely used, for instance, in the automobile industry as insulating and padding materials. Said formed parts (5) include an adhesive coating (4) on one of their sides, especially in the edge area, which had to be covered so far with barrier paper strips in order to pack and transport said formed parts. In order to avoid having to use said strips, the lower side of the heat deformable flat structure is laminated with a foil (2) having a coating on the side opposing the foam (1) that serves as separating means for the adhesive (4) to be applied on the other top side of the flat structure. The foam (1) used is especially a cross-linked polyethylene foam and the coated foil (2) is a siliconized PE foil. The invention can be preferably used for so-called water shields in automobiles. |
