The invention discloses improvements to a sealable container (10) and lid (12). The container body has an open top with a rim thereround, a plurality of annular flanges spaced apart extending radially outwards from an external wall of the container body (10), an annular skirt extending radially outwards from the undersurface of the furthest located annular flange, a lid (12) having an outer leg which includes a plurality of annular rims formed therein in a relationship corresponding to the spaced apart relationship of the annular flanges of the container body (10), the annular rims of the lid (12) are snap-fastenable over corresponding, said annular flanges of the container body (10), and an inner leg disposed from an undersurface of the lid (12) and configured to fit to an inner wall of the container body (10). The improvement comprises an annular rib (50) on the undersurface of the lid (12), an annular groove (26) on the mid portion of the extreme end rim of the container body rim; wherein an air-tight seal is created upon the annular rib being sealingly engaged upon the annular groove and the annular flanges and annular rims are in registration respectively. |
