FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has noise discharge opening positioned rearward of engine. Noise is discharged through discharge opening and is directed through rectangular outlet opening in inner annular surface of engine rear cover. Rear cover is connected with front cover for protecting engine. Noise is further directed through engine filter arranged rearward of engine and is reduced by engine cover, which is fixed by bolts in cavity of main housing. Noise is further discharged along longitudinal noise discharge channel. Engine cover has opening for discharging reduced noise outside to front cover of engine. Longitudinal noise discharge channel for directing noise from main housing is defined by acrylic plate and by plate made from nonwoven material and is connected to reduced noise discharge opening. EFFECT: increased efficiency and reduced noise level of vacuum cleaner. 5 cl, 10 dwg
