PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the usability improvable in an image forming device having a replacement member of an attachable detachable cartridge system. SOLUTION: In a cartridge 4, a nonvolatile memory 5 storable information on the cartridge 4 is incorporated. When data are stored into the nonvolatile memory 5, parity information is added to it and stored. In the case of using the cartridge 4, the parity information is examined to check the abnormality. Thus, step-by-step warning signs can be displayed and even the device itself can perform proper correspondence according to each condition. |
