摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wavelength multiplex optical transmission path, which is small in the deviation in the dependence of transmission loss of a wavelength about 1,550 nm band on a wavelength and is capable of compensating the wavelength dispersion of a single-mode optical fiber. SOLUTION: This wavelength multiplex optical transmission path 10 is laid between a light signal transmitter 11 and a light signal receiver 14. The wavelength multiplex optical transmission path 10 is formed by serially connecting the single-mode optical fiber 12 and the dispersion compensation optical fiber 13. Boron is added to at least either of the core and cladding of the dispersion compensation optical fiber 13. The boron-added optical fiber is connected to the single-mode optical fiber 12, by which the dependence of the transmission loss of the wavelength multiplex optical transmission path 10 on the wavelength is lessened, and the deviation of the wavelength loss of the wavelength multiplex optical transmission path 10 becomes capable of planarization.
