PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image by which a good dispersed state of starting materials is ensured and production capacity can also be enhanced. SOLUTION: Starting materials put in a screw feeder 1 are kneaded while being conveyed by the rotation of the screw to uniformize the distribution of the starting materials and the starting materials are melted by heating the interior of the screw feeder 1 to produce a toner. In this method, the number of screw threads in the starting material putting part 3 of the screw feeder 1 is made larger than that in the following part 4.
