PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the printing quality by surely preventing the occurrence of wrinkles at a paper after fixing by maintaining the fixing ratio and wrinkles to be balanced though the distance between plural sheets of the paper inside a printer is remarkably fluctuated. SOLUTION: The interval of recording media in the case of successively executing image forming on plural recording media (paper or the like) without stopping the operation of an image forming device (printer or the like) is detected (step S11), and the control target temperature of a thermally fixing unit is switched and set in accordance with the interval of the recording media (step S12). Then, a heat source is controlled so that the temperature of the thermally fixing unit is at the control target temperature (step S13).
