PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved vehicle information system which stores such data that contain the reparative history of a specific vehicle, can be maintained easily in the latest state, and are related to the maintenance of the vehicle. SOLUTION: A vehicle data storing system 10 is provided with a vehicle- loaded recordable data storing device 12 which stores the information on the vehicle on which the storing device 12 is mounted, an external processor incorporating a maintenance computer 16 which can read and write data from and in the storing device 12, and a presenting device 20 which presents the vehicle information in such a way that a service personnel can conveniently read the information during a maintenance procedure. A data file contains a maintenance manual which describes the repair and maintenance of the vehicle, such as the information on the special devices or functions mounted on the vehicle, etc., and contains the list of such parts that require repair and maintenance so that the service personnel can identify acquired parts. |
