PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening physiologically active substances in a signal transmission system of a TGF-β (transformation growth factor-β), by searching for molecules involved in a process that binds a TGF-β receptor and TAB1 together and using such molecules. SOLUTION: By bringing XIAP, TAB1 (TAK1 (TGF-β-activated kinase 1 binding protein 1), and a substance to be tested into contact and examining whether the binding between the XIAP and the TAB1 is formed or not, substances that inhibit the binding between the XIAP and the TAB1 are screened. In addition. a medicinal composition containing as effective components the substances that inhibit the binding between the XIAP and the TAB1, or the XIAP and TGF-β type I and/or type II receptors obtained by this method is obtained. |
