<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a positive charge type toner that undergoes a slight change in the quantity of charges and gives a good printed image and to obtain a developer using the toner. SOLUTION: Relating to a positive charge type toner based on a bonding resin, a nigrosine dye and a quat. ammonium salt are used as an electrostatic charge controlling agent. The toner contains a polyester resin as the bonding resin, polypropylene wax as a releasing agent and carbon black as a colorant. The content of the nigrosine dye in additive-free toner matrix particles is 2-5 wt.% and that of the quat. ammonium salt is 0.25-2 wt.%.</p> |
