PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the time and labor for cleaning and replacement caused by contamination of an image formation optical system by liquid developer and also to recover and reuse the liquid developer by providing one or more liquid developer recovering devices at least on the one side surface side of the image formation optical system. SOLUTION: The electrode part of the liquid developer recovering device 120 installed on the one side surface side of an image formation optical system unit 110 is connected to a power source, and negative potential is applied to the electrode part at the time of working. Liquid developer scattered to the vicinity of a photoreceptor 130 is electrified to be positive potential, attracted to the electrode part of the device 120 and adheres to the surface thereof. Therefore, the unit 110 is not soiled and a recording function is not lowered, so that the time an labor for cleaning and replacement of the unit 110 is eliminated. The liquid developer adhering to the surface is accumulated by a gutter-like pipe, and stored in a lower liquid developer storage tank 122 through a tube 121. By attaching/detaching it, the liquid developer is recovered and reused. |
