PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbide preparation apparatus which is an apparatus for carbonizing organic wastes, securely deodorizes exhausts and has a good thermal efficiency. SOLUTION: In a carbide preparation apparatus wherein sludge is dried in a drying kiln 3 and successively transferred through horizontal pipes 6A-6C in a carbonization oven 5, a deodorizing oven 12 wherein odor-containing dried exhaust is deodorized is established, and the combustion exhaust of the carbonization oven 5 is introduced into the deodorizing oven 12 to be used as a heat source. The combustion exhaust of the deodorizing oven 12 is used as a heat source for the drying kiln 3.
