PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embody a treatment method of fibers, which reduces the damages incurred by the portion, where an incident beam is not coupled of multimode and single-mode double cladding fibers. SOLUTION: The cladding or outer cladding at the end of a multimode optical fiber or single-mode double cladding fiber 10 is peeled to form a peeled end 19 of the fiber. This method includes a step for coating the first portion adjacent to the end of the remaining cladding of the peeled end 19 with a polymer 17, in such a manner that this portion does not substantially exist in the second portion 13 at the front end of the peeled end 19. |
