PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber fabric having deodorizing, antimicrobial and stain-proof functions and useful for clothes, interiors, etc., by applying a melamine resin to a fabric containing organic fibers and subsequently further applying a silicon dioxide- containing sol solution containing titanium dioxide photocatalyst to the fabric. SOLUTION: This fiber fabric having deodorizing, antimicrobial and stain-proof functions is obtained by coating a fabric containing organic fibers with a melamine resin to protect the organic fibers, further coating one surface of the organic fiber- containing fabric with a silicon dioxide-containing sol solution containing titanium dioxide photocatalyst by the use of a roll, etc., drying the coated fabric at 120 deg.C, and subsequently heating the fabric at 170 deg.C for 30 sec to cure the coating. The fabric containing the organic fibers includes a beige color fiber fabric obtained by dyeing a satin woven fabric comprising polyester filaments, etc., with a disperse dye by the use of a high pressure dyeing machine at 130 deg.C. The coated fiber fabric has a titanium dioxide photocatalyst content of 0.01-10 g/m<2> based on the organic fibers. The fiber fabric has excellent deodorizing, antimicrobial and stain-proof functions and good durability to treatments such as a washing treatment, and is useful for interiors, sanitary materials, clothes, etc. |
