An ignition distributor for a road vehicle, wherein the hollow casing of the distributor is formed internally with a support surface, and the contact breaker assembly base plate of the distributor is engaged with the support surface. A pair of cam members are engaged with the base plate and the casing, and are operable upon rotation, to clamp the base plate against said support surface. |
