PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a heat ray for quick start fixing obtainable, by which instantaneous heating can be executed and whose heating time is short by providing a heat ray absorption layer absorbing almost all the heat ray on the outside of shaped light transmissive base substance. SOLUTION: A 1st heat ray fixing roller 17a is provided with a shaped light transmissive base substance 171A obtained by forming and shaping a heat resistant resin layer 171e outside a cylindrical light transmissive base substance 171a, a heat ray absorption layer 171b outside the substance 171A, and further a mold-released layer 171c outside the layer 171b. The layer 171b absorbs the heat ray emitted from a heat ray irradiation member 171g and transmitted through the substance 171A by 90 to 100%, desirably, 95 to 100% equivalent to about 100%. Namely, a heat absorption member obtained by mixing the powder of carbon black, black lead, iron black and ferrite of every kind in resin binder is used so that the fixing roller member capable of the instantaneous heating may be formed, and it is formed outside the substance 171A by baking after its thickness is set to 10 to 200μm, desirably, 20 to 100μm.
