PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress squeaking and to maintain necessary corrosion resistance by forming a resin layer on at least the friction surface of the surface of a disk brake rotor. SOLUTION: Since a resin layer 7 is formed on the surface of a rotor 1 by coating, a thickness necessary for rust prevention is formed, and rust generated in the rotor 1 is prevented. If a method is for impregnating a resin on a sintered body, the formation of a film having a necessary thickness is difficult, and thus a rust preventing effect is not enough. Also, since the resin layer 7 on the surface of the rotor 1 contains no metal such as zinc showing adhesion, when the rotor 1 is rotated during braking while a pad 2 is pressed to the rotor 1, a phenomenon is prevented where transfer to the porous surface of the zinc pad 2 of the rotor surface causes adhesion between the zinc of the rotor surface and the zinc of the pad surface, and consequently a friction coefficientμis increased. Thus, the phenomenon of squeaking during the initial use of a brake is suppressed. Also, corrosion resistance and squeaking resistance are provided at the same time.
