PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide Cr steel for structural purpose hard to generate heterogenous uniform corrosion and to provide products thereof, i.e., welded steel pipes and shape materials. SOLUTION: This stainless steel for structure purpose hard to generate heterogenous uniform corrosion in the one in which, in Cr steel contg. 5 to <10% Cr, the content of Cr in the part of a depth of 0.5 to 10μm from the topmost surface in the metallic part is controlled to <5%. This steel preferably contains 0.005 to 0.03% C, 0.05 to 1.0% Si, 0.05 to 2.0% Mn, 5 to <10% Cr and 0.005 to 0.03% N and contains, at need, one or >= two kinds among <=3% Ni, <=3% Mo and <=2% Cu. By a Cr steel sheet in which uniform-type corrosion is generated, the provision of a structural member usable in the part requiring corrosion resistance is made possible.
