PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which obtains a satisfactory image by restraining the rise of a temperature due to heat from a heat source of a plurality of developing units loaded in a developing-unit switching mechanism when images are not formed. SOLUTION: When images are not formed, the stopping position of a developing rotary 4a is controlled by a controller 15 so that according to the heat resistances of developers used in a plurality of developing units 5a, 5b, 5c and 5d loaded in the developing rotary 4a, the developing unit using a low-heat- resistance developer (developing unit 5a) comes to the position which is less affected by heat from a fixing unit 9 being a heat source and from a transfer material P1 ejected onto an ejected-paper loading part 20a after a developer image is transferred and fixed on it. By this way, the rise of a temperature of the developing unit using the low-heat-resistance developer due to the heat from the fixing unit 9 being the heat source and from the transfer material P1 and a satisfactory image can stably be obtained. |
