Automobile condenser type heat exchanger and method of fabrication

The heat exchanger has a collector housing (18) with fixing feet (20). The fixing feet (20) have a concave contact zone (24) fixed onto an exterior peripheral surface (22) of the collector housing (18) and a flat attachment (26) extending towards the exterior. The concave zone has a central region (30) of reduced thickness (E1) so that local deformation of the of the metal forms a connection (28) which fixes the contact zone of the foot to the surface of the collector housing. An Independent claim is included for a method of manufacturing the heat exchanger.
