PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device which pulls down, without affecting high-quality image formation, a toner accumulation sticking to a waste-toner carrying path or screw member, and thereby, prevents, in advance, waste-toner carrying failure caused by the sticking toner accumulation. SOLUTION: The image forming device has an image carrier, a cleaner 6 for cleaning the toner-image formation surface of the image carrier, a cleaner case (waste-toner carrying path) 60 for carrying waste toner recovered by the cleaner 6, and a waste-toner carrying screw (screw member) 66 for carrying the waste toner. In the case, a striking member (impact means) 101 is provided for exerting an impact force on the cleaner case 60 or waste-toner carrying screw 66, and the operation of applying the impact by the striking member 101 is carried out only when an image is not formed on the image carrier. |
