<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous ink having the excellent blot resistance, water resistance, print concentration, etc., of printed articles and useful as an ink for ink jet recording by adding the emulsion of a specific polyester adsorbing a specified coloring material. SOLUTION: This aqueous ink contains the emulsion of (B) a polyester which adsorbs (A) a water-insoluble or slightly soluble coloring material and which is obtained by copolycondensing (i) a diol component of the formula (A is an alkylene; R<1> and R<2> are each H, methyl or phenyl; X and Y are each >=0 wherein the average value of X+Y is 0-10) with (ii) a polybasic carboxylic acid (derivative) (for example, trimellitic anhydride). The adsorption of the component A to the component B means the adsorption of a part of the component A to a micelle formed from the component B or the enclosure of a part of the component A in the micelle. The acidity (JIS K 0070) of the component B is preferably 3-100 KOHmg/g.</p> |
