PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an optical transmission equipment or to discriminate information of the connector state to transmit it to another equipment, as necessary, by providing an optical connector with a mechanical switch which can discriminate whether it is completely coupled to an adapter mounted on a printed board. SOLUTION: The sidewall of the inserted optical connector enters the inside of a claw 22 of an adapter 20 and presses the claw 22 open and strikes against a mobile contact 40 for moving the mobile contact 40 to the front side and passes a hole part 21 provided in the sleeve sidewall of the adapter 20 and is connected to a fixed contact 41. The fixed contact 41 is grounded to GND with respect to circuit. That is, the route of electricity passes the mobile contact 40 and the fixed contact 41 (GND) in the order, and the circuit is turned on. Next, when the optical connector is further inserted, the claw 22 of the adapter 20 is closed to completely couple the optical connector. In this state, the mobile contact 40 is pressed back by a spring force to turn off a switch because the adapter claw 22 is closed in the coupling state, and the circuit is turned off. |
