PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber-modified, styrene-based polymer, excellent in transparency, resistance to impact and moldability, and also to provide a molded product thereof. SOLUTION: This rubber-modified, styrene-based polymer is composed of (I) a continuous phase of a polymer comprising 35 to 75 wt.% of a styrene-based monomer unit and 65 to 25 wt.% of a (meth)acrylate ester-based monomer unit and (II) a disperse phase of a rubber-like elastic body comprising 30 to 50 wt.% of a styrene monomer unit and 70 to 50 wt.% of a butadiene monomer unit, with the phase (I) accounting for 85 to 98 wt.% and the phase II for 15 to 2 wt.%, characterized by (a) the disperse phase composed of two types of dispersed particles, one having an average size of 0.2 to 0.7μm and the other 0.8 to 1.1μm, (b) the total dispersed particles having an average size of 0.3 to 1.0μm, (c) the smaller type particles accounting for 10 to 90 wt.% and the larger type particles for 90 to 10 wt.%, and (d) at least 80 wt.% of the total dispersed particles having a capsule structure. |
