The prosthesis comprises two hollow sections (2, 3) located before and after the urethral sphincter, with a connecting section (4) between them which prevents closure of the sphincter when in place. The prosthesis is made in one piece from a spiral filament with joined coils, e.g. of medical grade stainless steel, and its third, connecting section (4) is hollow and tubular, while the first and second sections (2, 3) are truncated conical in shape and joined to the third section (4) by their smaller ends (5, 6). The angle of taper of the first conical section (2) is greater than that of the second one. |
