<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dieleetric breakdowns of various kinds of wires, elements, etc., during and after the manufacture by using a protection pattern with respect to in an active matrix substrate for a liquid crystal panel etc. SOLUTION: Each pixel is provided with a positive stagger type TFT (thin film transistor) for pixel driving. The protection pattern 16 made of a semiconductor film includes at least some of 1st protection pattern parts 16a which are arrayed on the substrate 10 in a pixel display region 11 along scanning lines and 2nd protection pattern parts 16b which are arrayed at a display region edge part, has the resistance prescribed by the density of impurities of ion injection into a semiconductor film, and is so constituted that static electricity accumulated on the scanning lines 12 are made to be easier to flow than on data lines 13.</p> |
