PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which prevents leaks of developers from developer storage containers during replenishment with the developers. SOLUTION: Relating to the image forming device having a photoreceptive drum (image carrier) 1, developing units 4bk, 4m, 4c, and 4y, toner containers (developer storage containers) 30bk, 30m, 30c, and 30y, and a toner detection sensor (developer concentration detection means) for detecting toner concentration (developer concentration), a first error, which is outputted according to an abnormality in the signal of the detection by the toner detection sensor, and a second error, which is outputted in a condition where the degree of abnormality is higher than that of the first error, are set. In the case the second error occurs, the operations of the entire device are stopped, and in the case the device is not repaired, the device is made unable to re-start. Therefore, it makes it possible to prevent a user from replenishing the toner containers 30bk, 30m, 30c and 30y, in a state of no longer having low-fluidity toners in them, with toners, and the leakage of the supplied high-fluidity toners from the toner containers 30bk, 30m, 30c and 30y is prevented. |
