PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To every efficiently and effectively perform ordering work in a catalog mail order system. SOLUTION: In an article catalog 20, there are printed an article image part 21 showing each article with image, dot codes 22 for selecting/specifying article including a tone signal corresponding to article specifying information for selecting and specifying each andise individually, dot codes 23 for inputting control information including a tone signal corresponding to information about various operations specifying start, cancellation and the like of ordering of article performed for an order acceptor by an orderer, and dot codes 24 for inputting numerical quantity information including a tone signal corresponding to numerical quantity information for specifying numerical quantity and the like of article ordered. A tone signal based on each dot code 22, 23, 24 optically read is transmitted to a personal computer 50 of an order acceptor side from a telephone recording/reproducing adaptor 30 through a telephone channel 40 by scanning manually a code reading device 11. |
