摘要 In a telecommunications system, a digital subscriber terminal exchange (LE) is connected to at least one subscriber access node (AN) via an interface (V.5.2) both for ISDN and analogue subscriber connections. In said interface, the speech/data channels are arranged in a system of bearer channels (TS 1, TS 2, ... TS n) with a fixed base data rate (rb). The aim of the invention is to indicate means for a high utilization of the transmission capacity at the interface (V.5.2) while maintaining compatibility with existing standards in order to increase the concentration factor at said interface. To this end, the invention uses a voice recognition system (V-REC) which recognizes voice signals in the speech/data channels and which activates signal converters (C1, C2) for compressing the voice signals in order to jointly assign a bearer channel to a plurality of speech/data channels having voice signals.
