The method involves conducting traffic over unused and slightly used lines within a communications network, which consists of at least one circuit-switched network (LN) and at least one packet-switched network (PN). The traffic of a network node of one network is led to another network node of the same or another homogeneous network temporarily via unused and slightly used lines of at least one further, different network which comprises at least two network access nodes (POP1, POPn), when network lines of first network is used to full capacity.
