Corrosion-stable aluminium pigments produced by physical vapor deposition and process for the stabilisation thereof

In metal pigments based on aluminium (Al), produced by physical vapour deposition (PVD), all exposed surfaces of the particles obtained by crushing the film, especially the fracture surfaces, are coated with a passivating protective layer. Also claimed is methods of producing corrosion-resistant pigments of this type.
