<p>A barium titanate powder having a particle diameter of 0.1 to 1.0 νm, a CV value (standard deviation of particle diameter/average particle diameter) of particle diameter distribution of 30 % or less, a zeta-potential at pH 6.4, as measured by a laser Doppler method using electrophoresis, of -30 to -60 mV, and being calcinated at 900 to 1200 °C. Such a barium titanate powder is excellent in dispersibility in a slurry form and shows a suppressed agglomeration of particles even after sintering, and hence is suitable as a material for forming a dielectrics layer of a laminated ceramic capacitor. A barium titanate powder which further has a density for a sintered product of 95 % or more of a theoretical value and a dielectric constant of 4000 or more.</p> |
