Data for an information processing device is transmitted and an erroneous connection of electronic equipment is notified to a user for a correction of the connection. An image unit (61) is displayed on a display unit such as a TV set when a correct connection is made. A data unit (62) is displayed, when an erroneous connection of electronic equipment is made, along with the image unit (61) on the image display unit screen. The option data area (62a) of the data unit (62) notifies users an erroneous connection by means of a telop. A basic data area (62b) stores data required for the information processing device to perform various types of processing. Data consisting of the image unit (61) and the data unit (62) is input to the information processing device which then processes the input data so as to display the image unit (61) only according to data in the basic data area (62b) when a correct connection is identified.
