<p>This invention is a jamming retainer (400) for fixing a ligament (L) in a bone tunnel (C) without excessive sideways pressure on the ligament (L) that may result in tissue necrosis. The jamming retainer (400) includes a substantially rigid body with a bore or loop (410) for receiving a ligament or tendon (L), a bore or ring (405) for receiving a suture (S) for towing the jamming retainer (400), and ligament or tendon (L) through a bone tunnel (C). Once positioned, the jamming retainer (400) is fixed in the bone tunnel with an interference screw (I).</p> |
