The vehicle has a fuselage contg. a number of essentially rigid segments (10,12,14) in series, each supported on the track by at least one wheel pair and with segment connections (16) on their facing ends that reversibly link the segments together, continue the outer contour of the segments between them and perform distance compensation whilst traversing curves, dips or humps. The segments have a constant hollow cross-section in the track's longitudinal direction and a rigid structure length. Each segment protrudes beyond the track for a radius up to 150 m. by a length that is constant along the train. The segment connections have coupling elements that extend along the outer contour for transferring the flow of force between the segments and/or are homogeneously distributed in the peripheral direction.
