The base (30) for supporting the skate wheels has a hub (32) and a slot (35). A support (40), for attachment to the boot, has a pair of tabs (41) which protrude downwardly and slide over the sides of the base, secured by a shaft (53) which slides into the slot to restrict vertical motion, and is cushioned by a resilient member (37) in the slot. The support is biased away from the base by a spring (34) in-between them. Front pivots (44,51) further attach the base and support.
