The present invention pertains to the production of permanent connections obtained by welding or soldering articles used in instrument manufacturing as well as in the machine-tooling sector. This invention essentially relates to a light-beam welding device that comprises a reflector in which a cathode and an anode are arranged in electrode holders. The device also includes a cooling body, a screen transparent to the light beam and an anode displacement unit. The anode displacement unit comprises a solenoid having its core located in a chamber that communicates with the reflector inner cavity, a feedback spring arranged in said chamber as well as a rod having one end attached to the anode while the other is attached to the solenoid core located in the chamber, said core being capable of reciprocating movement along said chamber. The solenoid is displaced using an electric motor having its output shaft connected to said solenoid.
