The gear lock comprises a rod which can be connected in the region of the gear linkage and sunk so that the actuation is blocked. In the case of motorcycles, the connection is carried out in the engine housing and the rod can block the gear shaft as well as the drive gear. The rod is out of sight when in its sunk position, and is stopped in an active or inactive position by a securing lock.
