The arrangement includes a light source (2,3) and a corresponding light output surface area arranged at the side at the vehicle, in the area of a door handle (4,5), and directed in such way, that the position of the door handle is recognizable. The light output is preferably arranged in such way, that a movable door handle is recognizable in its operated position.
