The frame consists of several struts (2,3) and one or more nodal elements (4), which are connected to each other by a magnetic forming process. The nodal elements consist of cast light metal, and the struts are of light metal, plastic, or are injection-molded profiles. Each nodal element has a flange (15,16) for plug connection to a strut, and each nodal element and/or strut has elements to increase resistance against torsion, bending, and/or tension and/or pressure loads. The frame is the 'space frame' for a motor vehicle body, or part of a body; an auxiliary frame (1) to support wheel guide parts, and/or components for the vehicle drive train; or the chassis for a single-track vehicle.
