<p>A process for adsorbing a gas involves putting the gas to be treated in contact with an effective amount of adsorbent wherein the adsorbent contains an effective amount of an aluminosilicate of the zeolite P type having the general oxide formula: (x M2/nO, y K2O). Al2O3. 1.80-5.00 SiO2. z H2O, wherein x+y=1 and z is the water content; y is within the range of 0.2 to 0.95, and M is a n-valent cation of a metal selected from the group consisting in sodium, magnesium, calcium, caesium, barium, and lithium or of any two or more of said metals, and the water content of the zeolite being no greater than about 15 % w/w.</p> |
