<p>In a process to warm the substrate in a biogas generator and bring it to the requisite fermentation temperature: (a) the heat energy required is supplied in whole or in part by recovery of effluent air from drying harvested agricultural products; (b) if more heat energy is supplied by the drying agricultural products than is required, the surplus energy is used for other purposes; (c) the assembly consists of a heat exchanger (1) whose primary circuit is located in the harvest drier (3) air outlet (2), and whose secondary circuit (14) has a pump (17) driving the heat-transport liquid medium to the substrate (8) heater (9); (d) the substrate (8) temperature is monitored by a thermostat which switches the pump (17) on and off as required; (e) condensation is gathered in a tank (19) under the heat exchanger (1), discharging condensate through a pipe (18) to the substrate (8) within the fermenter (7).</p> |
