<p>A device for fixedly connecting two tubular members, (10, 11), where the member (11) has a pair of opposed apertures (12) in an end region of the tube wall, the device comprising a first part (13) insertable into the end of the tube (11) and having an outstanding spigot (23) insertable through an aperture in the wall of the tube (10), the first part containing a captive nut (19) and a pair of movable shoot bolts (21). A second part comprises a bolt (16) which may be driven through a central passage (15) in the first part and through the nut (19) to engage and push apart the two shoot bolts (21) such that they shall enter the opposed apertures (12). Tightening of the bolt firmly locks the two tubular members (10) and (11) together so that they cannot be relatively rotated or separated. <IMAGE> <IMAGE></p> |
