PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material endoprosthesis provided with a specified radiation impermeable characteristics without changing physical properties. SOLUTION: This endoprosthesis is provided with a main body structural part formed of a biocompatible material. This main body structural part has the first material with a mean atomic no. of larger than 24 and the second material being different from the first material. This main body structural body has an effective mass absorption coefficient making the ratio of strength of incident X-rays to strength of transmitted X-rays to a range of 1e<-2> -1e<-4> . This internal artificial fitting can have an yield strength of at most 100,000 psi. and has a shape of a wire or a tube. In addition, the first material exists by an amt. of at least 9 vol.% based on the total vol. of the first material and the second material. In addition, there exists also a case wherein the first material is about 30- about 40 vol.% based on the total vol. of the first material and the second material of the internal artificial fitting with a tube-like shape. |
