PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To charge a battery by the connection to the socket of electric source at a destination or relay point and recover an electric power and run again by mounting a battery and a battery charger on an electric assist bicycle so that the battery can be charged. SOLUTION: An electric assist unit 3 is equipped on the main frame 2 of an electric assist bicycle 1 and a battery 6 is mounted so as to supply the electric power to the electric motor of the electric assist unit 3. Here, a battery charger 9 is connected to the upper surface of the battery case of the battery 6. By connecting a cord provided on the battery charger 9 to every electric source, the charge to the battery 6 is achieved in a short time and an electric assist running is carried out again.
