PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering operating device having excellent operability, especially excellent fine steering operability. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a steering operating shaft 6 to be rotated in the nearly horizontal direction and a lever 3 connected to the steering operating shaft 6 and to be turned in the nearly horizontal direction with the predetermined horizontal distance from the steering operating shaft 6 so as to rotate the steering operating shaft 6. The steering operating shaft 6 is positioned nearly under a wrist of a driver when the driver 3 holds the lever 3. Position of the lever 3 and an arm rest 9 for fixing an elbow or an arm can be adjusted in the nearly horizontal direction and/or vertical direction in relation to an operation seat 1. The steering operating shaft 6 is connected to an input shaft 8A of a pilot valve 8 arranged nearly under the steering operating shaft 6 through a connecting means 7 so that the steering operating shaft 6 can be moved in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction. |
