PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multipiece sold golf ball having a good carry characteristic, durability and a soft feeling and having an excellent spin characteristic as a golf ball. SOLUTION: The surface hardness of the core of a multipiece sold golf ball having a solid core, an intermediate layer and a cover is <55 in Shore D hardness, the ratio (Hm/Hs) of the Shore D hardness (Hm) of the intermediate layer and the Shore D hardness (Hs) of the core surface is larger than 1.0 and below 1.4 and the ratio (Hc/Hm) of the Shore D hardness (Hc) of the cover and the Shore D hardness (Hm) of the intermediate layer is larger than 1.0 and below 2.0. In addition, the intermediate layer is formed of a polyurethane resin as a chief material.
