PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material in which an image fading scarcely occurs according to a release at the time of dipping it in water as a label without blocking in a raw fabric state or a plasticizer or the like from a rear surface. SOLUTION: In the thermal recording material comprising a heat sensitive color developing layer containing a leuco dye and a developer on a support surface, a protective layer containing a filler, a water soluble polymer compound and a crosslinker on the developing layer, and a back coating layer containing a filler, a polyvinyl alcohol and a crosslinker on a rear surface of the support; the back coating layer contains a hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. |
