POLYPROPYLENE RESIN EXTRUSION FOAM BOARD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a foam with good aesthetic appearance by forming a foam board with a cross-section having a predetermined magnification with respect to a die opening size. SOLUTION: A polyprophylene resin extrusion foam board is obtained by melting a polyprophylene resin, cooling it to a foaming temperature after mixing with a volatile foaming agent, and extruding it in a low pressure region under the pressure releasing speed 20 MPa/sec. The resulting polyprophylene resin extrusion foam board has a cross-section which is 25 times or more of the die opening size. Such a polyprophylene resin extrusion foam board can be also obtained by using a reforming polyprophylene resin which is obtained by reacting a polyprophylene resin and isoprene resin and a radical initiator. An additive may be further added without losing the effect, if necessary. This results in a foam having a large size and good aesthetic appearance.
